some photos I took with a Canon Snappy EL

During COVID, I decided I wanted a Canon film camera, since I loved using my G7X Mk II so much, so decided to scour eBay and ended up buying a Canon Snappy EL for fairly cheap!

It was the first camera I used coming out of lockdown and those first 2 photos above are of my brothers enjoying their first takeaway coffee following COVID-19 lockdown lifting, and of my now fiancée with me at Foxes Farm Produce going pumpkin picking.

I also carried it around with me going back to work, and whilst fairly chunky for a compact camera, it was still small enough that I could stick it in a jacket pocket. With everything being automatic, there's not much control over settings but that means there's less to distract you, and more attention can be put into getting the right shot.

That being said I didn't get on great with it! And I messed up a handful of photos where I moved the camera slightly whilst pressing the shutter... but when things did go right, I ended up with some really nice photos.

I took these in 2020 and admittedly haven't really used it since! But maybe I'll dig it out of storage at some point and put another roll of film through it!
